THE 12 Boudoir FAQS YOU NEED TO KNOW
The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to a woman about her session, I get asked all kinds of questions so I wanted to compile a list of my twelve most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me.
Do you share my images?
Client privacy is SO important to us. We will never post your images without your written permission beforehand. At your order appointment, we will give you the option to sign a model release (unless you have already signed one via a special project like our Over 40 Project). Of course, we would LOVE to brag on and showcase you. However, we will respect whatever you wish!
Do you provide lingerie for your clients?
In Jimmy Fallon's best voice, "EW!" No- due to hygienic reasons, we do not provide lingerie to our clients. However, the studio has a client closet that has over 200 pieces of accessories to add on top of your lingerie including Angel Wings, Old Hollywood Robes, and Body Jewelry.
Do you have payment plans?
Yes! We accept all major credit cards, PayPal Credit, and have a in-studio layaway plan for those interested.
Is hair and makeup included?
Professional hair and makeup is included in all of our sessions. I think it’s really important for you to feel pampered and having your hair and makeup done is a great way to do that. Our amazing team can help you complete your look- whether that’s “I just woke up like this” or full on GLAM! You are in the best hands- just show up with clean, dry hair and a clean face!
I have (insert concern: bruises, pimples, cellulite, scars, etc.)- will you edit those out?
Absolutely if that is what you desire! We offer a very personalized retouching service and will go over what you would like done. Don't stress!
Where should I buy outfits?
We have an incredible partnership with The Sultry Company, a local adult store that has a ton of lingerie and expert knowledge on what we recommend and don’t recommend for a session. Our clients receive insider advice from a well respected, female owned business and a discount on their lingerie purchase!
Don’t stress about lingerie shopping- we can even wrap you up in a sheet and it will look stunning.
What type of print products do you have? Do you offer digitals?
We offer a variety of Luxury Albums, Wall Art, and other unique products. I absolutely love the feel of picking up a physical print- it is so surreal to see yourself like that. I am a huge fan of the concept of showcasing women as literal pieces of art! Many of our collections include digital images and they are available a la carte as well.
I’m soooo nervous- is that normal?
It is totally normal to feel nervous- I would be a little perplexed if you weren’t! By the end of the session, you will be rocking it out! I know that this is a very intimidating thing to book- and we are so honored that you've trusted us with this experience. We try to make it as fun and comfortable as possible.
How many outfits should I bring? Do I need to bring any heels or jewelry?
We photograph 2 different looks. I always say that if you're a "heel girl"- bring them! If not, barefoot is totally fine! If you love jewelry, you're welcome to bring that as well. I tend to recommend simple studs over anything else as dangly jewelry can flip backwards during posing.
Where is your studio located?
120 West Dublin Drive Ste. 201 Madison, AL 35758 (upstairs across from the elevator in a large brick medical building)
How long will I be at the studio?
We typically spend 1.5 - 2.5 hours with you (from professional hair and makeup to you leaving!)
I don't know how to "look" sexy- will you help direct me?
YES! Absolutely- that's my job! I will tell you exactly what to do from the top of your head down to your toes.
