Gilded Goddess BOUDOIR GALLERY
We are so excited to have you join us for your boudoir session with our beautiful Gilded Goddess add-on. We will photograph you in the outfit you bring to your session.
At the end of your session, we will have you change into just a pair of underwear (if you are not already wearing one) and we will decorate your chest with with the craft foil color of your choosing. We typically use gold, silver, or rose gold!
Kintsugi is a Japanese art of repairing broken pottery using gold or silver to highlight the cracks and imperfections, rather than hiding them. The philosophy behind Kintsugi emphasizes that a broken object can be beautiful and even stronger for having been repaired."
This inspiration is translated into our sessions by the same philosophy. We use the gilded foil to not only provide a unique and beautiful look, but to remind our clients that whatever trials they have gone through in the past do not diminish their beauty.
Their broken moments do not mean they are a permanently broken person. In fact, it is the opposite. Just like the cracks in the broken pottery are made to be even more beautiful than before through Kintsugi, the hardships we face as women make us stronger, wiser, and more beautiful as we heal and grow. That is what is being shown and celebrated in our Gilded Goddess sessions.

You must arrive camera ready. Hair and makeup must be done before arriving for your session.
Please plan your outfit(s) ahead of time. We will photograph you in 1 outfit unless selected otherwise while booking your session.

Have no idea what to wear? Don’t stress.
While the most important part of choosing an outfit is liking what you choose, we do have some recommendations:
We highly recommend finding classic, fitted pieces that you can look back on 50 years from now and still feel beautiful in! Teddies and body stockings are always safe choices.
We recommend staying AWAY from loose, flowy pieces such as baby dolls. We also recommend staying away from corsets, because they restrict your ability to pose.

BEFORE YOUR SESSION

-Please do not get a spray tan! Even the best spray tans tend to look blotchy and orange on camera. We can always “warm you up” in post-production if this is an area of concern for you!
-Life is meant to be lived and part of that is getting random tan lines. However, please try to be careful and avoid getting any preventable tan lines/burns in the days leading up to your session.
-Please do not try something completely new (new hair color/product, facial, etc.)

-Please cut all tags off lingerie (including the smaller fabric tags located inside your lingerie).
-Have your outfits planned (including any accessories and shoes).
-Keep things wrinkle free and hung if possible.
-Please note: unless you have booked an additional outfit Session Bonus, we shoot one outfit.

For hygienic reasons we do not provide lingerie. However, we do include complimentary access to our heel and jewelry selection to add to your existing look.Seriously- do not stress about what to wear! A classic black lace teddy is always a great choice. We recommend Sultry Company for all your lingerie shopping needs.If you are interested in any other outfits/themes/settings for your session.

Arrive with hair and makeup already done.
Manicured nails are not required, but please make sure your polish is chip-free.

I always say that if you're a "heel girl"- bring them! If not, barefoot is totally fine! If you love jewelry, you're welcome to bring that as well. I tend to recommend simple studs over anything else as dangly jewelry can flip backwards during posing.
Please do not feel like you have to buy your own, either! We have multiple sets of earrings, necklaces, and bracelets available in our client closet. We also have patent leather stiletto heels in red, black, and beige in women’s US whole sizes 6-11.
THE DAY OF YOUR SESSION

Because we have multiple clients in a day and wish to respect everyone’s privacy, please do not arrive for your session more than 5 minutes before your scheduled time.
Every session is different, but most people spend about 20 minutes at the studio for their photoshoot.

Absolutely if that is what you desire! We offer a very personalized retouching service and will go over what you would like done. Don't stress!
Please note: EXTENSIVE edits such as complete braces removal, tattoo removal, and root touch ups are beyond the scope of what is considered a standard edit request. Extensive edits may be denied or incur an editing fee.

AFTER YOUR SESSION

Directly after your session, we will schedule your order appointment. Your order appointment will take place the week following your session—barring a few exceptions such as same-day order appointments. Your order appointment is when you get to look at all of your beautiful images for the first time and place your order!

Before you return for your order appointment, you will be sent an email with all the details of how orders work. Your “homework” is to review that email and try to imagine how you would like to look at your images for the rest of your life!

That depends on how decisive you are! On average, they last around 1-1.5 hours.

Order appointments typically take place the week following your session. However, if you live far away or have extenuating circumstances, we try to provide an order appointment that takes place on the same day as your session.
If you would like a same-day order appointment, please request one prior to your session date and as early as possible. They are only available on certain days and times, and we cannot accomodate last minute requests.
Same day order appointments are broken down as follows:
-Arrive for your session no more than 5 minutes before your scheduled time.
-Have your shoot, which in total will be approximately 30-45 minutes.
-Break for lunch and rest while we get your images ready, usually around 2 hours.
-Return for your order appointment which typically takes 1-1.5 hours.

Once your order has been paid for in full, we have a production window of 6-8 weeks. Please let us know if you have a special occasion you would like your products by, so that we can try our best to get them to you by then!
